Beauty

Wow!  Can you believe this beautiful world of ours?  We went to the cabin in Bear Lake this weekend and had a great time.  The lake is totally socked in by clouds.  Global warming and all, it's just plain beautiful.  January is usually just a downer month for me.  Added to that is the bonus of my parents leaving on their mission for 18 months.  I thank a wonderful husband and children for putting up with all the tears and sadness.  I have resolved to pull myself together and focus on all the beautiful things in my life.  A husband I love, beautiful children, a brother that lives close, and great friends.  I am so blessed.

I'm sorry that you're missing your parents. Consider yourself hugged! I'm trying to come to terms with January and winter myself. Yesterday I was reading through some past blog entries and found a photo of our front berm all green and weed-free. It seemed impossible that the grass had been so green. At least we don't have any weeding to do in January. That thought is going to get me through the week!

I think we should start some sort of January experience that will brighten up all of us who suffer from January sadness. Although I want my parents to be able to serve a mission away from home, the thought sends me into a panic! I have great sympathy for you. . . Buy some flowers for the table, honey. You deserve it!
